Hi there,
Greetings from Australia. My grandfather and grandmother had an estate in the neighbouring village of Vorsyn' or Worsyn'. His name was Konstanty But-Husaim and my grandmother was Aleksandra Kallaur. My grandmother worshipped at the Plotnica Orthodox Church. I visited Voryn in 2008 to reunite my father, Wolodya But-Husaim, with his sister Dasha, whom he had not seen since 1943. I would love to hear from anyone who has any information about my father's family.

Powstał na prywatnych gruntach rodziny karp Karpowiczów herbu korab, którzy w roku 1503 założyli tu wieś Osowę. /patrz Osowa/. W następnych latach Widziborzec zasiedlały i inne rodziny. Pierwsze wzmianki o zasiedleniu Widziborca przez rodzinę Nozdrynów Płotnickich widnieją już w 1559 roku. Aktywowany, a w 1574 roku poświadczony testament Trochima Nozdrynowicza, w którym synów swoich wymienia. / patrz starodruki/. Wieś do 1945 roku zamieszkała przez dawnych potomków szlachty zaściankowej: Junkiewiczów Płotnickich, Jaworskich, Nozdryn Płotnickich, Wereniczów, Kaczanowskich, Durmanów i innych.
Po 1945 roku część rodzin wysiedlono do Polski. Rodziny te zamieszkały na Dolnym Śląsku w Skorzynicach, Chróścinie Nyskiej k/ Grodkowa i na Pomorzu Zachodnim w Przybiernowie,Lipianach. /szczecinskie/.
