W latach międzywojennych we wsi Pożarki mieszkał mój pradziadek, Jurko Pożarski, właściciel tamtejszej stadniny koni. Niestety, nie mam żadnych dokumentów potwierdzających tę informację. Jego synowie: Józef Pożarski, piłsudczyk, lekarz wojskowy, właściciel majątku Żytoródź, wywieziony w 1939 z całą rodziną na Syberię tam zmarł; Władysław Pożarski, mój dziadek, mieszkał w Wołkowysku przy ul. Orzeszkowej, gdzie urodził się mój ojciec, w 1945 z całą rodziną przesiedlony do Bydgoszczy; Bolesław Pożarski, pozostał w Wołkowysku, gdzie zmarł.
