Pohulanka jest sąsiedzką wsią Opaki Dużej [Wielkiej]. Historia tej wsi jest w miarę taka. Była tam leśniczówka już w 18 wieku. Wokól była puszcza. Tereny tej wsi w 1506 roku król Aleksander nadał swojemu pisarzowi Kopciowi Wasiłowiczu Czerpihorze duże dobra ziemskie Wierzchowice [Wierchowicze]. Król nakazał też prowadzenie akcji osiedleńczej na tych nadanych terenach. Z najnowszej histori wiadomo że las o pow. około 900ha dotychczasowi właściciele Wierzchowicz w 1919 roku sprzedali las angielskiej firmie Century. Po wycięciu lasu władze RP osiedliły żołnierzy zdemobilizowanych po wojnie bolszewickiej 1920 roku. Tak samo powstała sąsiednia wieś Biała Straż na części gruntów folwarku Wojnówka. reply
