You know, Galja , that our beloved grandmother Sacha as a young girl was called Verigo, Alexandra Verigo. They owned large areas of forest, farmland with lakes and rivers in Polotsk distrikt and Rossony. Their home was situaded in the village of Lukavcy. It was a large farm with many buildings. I worked as a teacher in Rossony 1933 and I saw how everything they built up was ruined. Sacha was buried in the Catholic cemetery in Volyncy, the home of her first husband Casimir Pogumirskij. reply
