Вёска Гасцілавічы з'яўляецца старажытным пасяленнем, якому больш, як 600 гадоў і гэта, калі толькі лічыць пісьмовыя ўпамінанні. У кнізе ,,Памяць,, Лагойскага раёна гаворыцца, што віленскаму намесніку Манівіду Кайлінікавічу ў 1407 годзе вялікі князь Вітаўт пацвердзіў права на валоданне папярэдне дадзенымі яму сёламі, у тым ліку і сялом Гасцілавічы. Атрымліваецца, што ў канцы ХІV стагоддзя сяло Гасцілавічы ўжо існавала. Назву сяло напэўна атрымала ад свайго першага ўладальніка, баярына, які тут атрымаў надзел, у якога прозвішча было Гасцілавіч. reply
