2011-12-05 Василий Николаевич Романюк

По письменным источникам известна с XVI века как деревня Дамамирка. После 2-го раздела Речи Посполитой (1793 год) в составе Российской империи. В 1834 году в Ручаёвской волости Речицкого уезда Минской губернии. В 1879 году обозначена как село в Ручаёвском церковном приходе. Согласно переписи 1897 года действовали часовня, трактир.

В 1930 году организован колхоз «Красная Нива», работали 2 ветряные мельницы и кузница. Согласно переписи 1959 года центр колхоза «Коммунист». Располагались начальная школа, Дом культуры, библиотека, фельдшерско-акушерский пункт, магазин, отделение связи, детский сад.
1834 год — 32 двора.
1850 год — 36 дворов, 249 жителей.
1897 год — 80 дворов, 601 житель (согласно переписи).
1959 год — 301 житель (согласно переписи).
1999 год — 87 хозяйств, 226 жителей. reply
