"Find your roots in Belarus and Lithuania" is a genealogical project started in 2009. Its main goal is to provide users information about the settlement in which their ancestors lived:
its location on modern and old maps;
the name of the Catholic or Orthodox parish to which it belonged;
which territorial and administrative units the settlement was located in during the last 150 years; and
where to look for documents of genealogical character
Radzima.net is a genealogical information resource and a site for messages searching for relatives who stayed in Belarus or have gone abroad. During the work of the site, hundreds of people were able to restore broken family ties.
The project covers the territory occupied by theVilna, Vitebsk, Grodno, Minsk, Mogilev provinces of the Russian Empire (the period from 1870 to 1917);
Bialystok, Wilno, Nowogrodek, Polesie voivodeships of Poland (the period of the Second Polish republic - 1918-1938); and
Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev, Minsk regions of the Republic of Belarus (some of the areas are under construction).
